Over the past few months, the team has discussed at great length our mission and direction. Our mission has always been to help professional freelancers build more wealth and freedom, and help businesses build better products.
We’ve listened to your feedback and have built a frictionless way to meet, hire, and ultimately work with professional freelance software developers.
What This Means For You
It is now absolutely FREE to submit your projects to gun.io, but not every project will be accepted, and sent to the community.
gun.io staff will carefully review each job submission by helping you form a scope and identify a project budget. We’ll then work with you to determine whether the job is the right fit for our community or someone else’s.
If a project is approved, it’ll be shared with the best freelance community in the world.
After your project is ‘live,’ you’ll be able to interact with applicants freely. We won’t limit interaction to only our platform as other sites do. You'll be able to meet off or online to discuss your project needs. However, we’ll always be ready to provide counsel on making the right hiring decision if needed.
After you choose the right freelancer(s), we’ll provide project support and a secure method of compensating talent, so that every single project is a success.
Only Quality Talent
We’ll be reviewing every single proposal submitted to you before you receive it.
We’re doing this for a few reasons, but mainly because we want to ensure that your project quality is high enough for our professional freelance community, to connect you to the right freelancer for your project, and do that in a way that saves you time and hassle.
After you make your intended hires, you’ll then be charged a 5% project success fee of your projected costs.
You’ll then compensate your talent through our secure payment processor at no additional cost to you. This is our way of guaranteeing that you’ll only pay for results that you’re happy with.
More often than not, gun.io freelancers are hired as full-time employees after an initial engagement, which attests to the quality of the community. We don’t place any restrictions on this behavior, as it only helps you build better projects.
